Erica Eckstrand is a trauma-informed, evidence-based naturopathic medical graduate now accepting in-person and virtual health coaching clients right here in the Shawnigan Lake village!

Born and raised on Vancouver Island, with my adolescent years spent right here in Shawnigan Lake, she then completed a B.Sc (Hons) in biology and chemistry with a focus in genetics at the University of Texas. Before attending the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, she worked for two years as a compounding pharmacy technician in both Canada and the United States. With the knowledge and experience in conventional and naturopathic medicine, she will help you and your family reach your health goals by focusing on practical steps and proven strategies.


Erica has experience treating all ages (including children and teens) in the following:

-Cancer support reducing risk of side effects from treatment -Low mood, low self-esteem, anxiety, PTSD, OCD and addictions -Behavioural traits (e.g. autism and ADHD) -Speech pathologies (e.g. stutters) -PMS and female hormone conditions (e.g. cramps, PCOS and endometriosis) -Digestion (e.g. acid reflux, IBS and IBD) -Detox and metabolic reset -Skin concerns (e.g. acne, eczema and psoriasis)
